Cruise Cancelled After Fire

Grandeur of the Seas was en route to CocoCay, The Bahamas, when the ship experienced a fire in the mooring area in the aft of the ship at approximately 2:50 a.m. ET. The fire was extinguished at 4:58 a.m. and the ship was redirected to Freeport for further evaluation. In an abundance of caution, the Captain deemed it necessary to muster all guests to their assembly stations during the incident. All 2,224 guests and 796 crew have been accounted for.

Grandeur of the Seas is expected to return to service on July 12.

Upgrades

Grandeur of the Seas is currently undergoing a refurbishment in Cadiz, Spain. Ship updates include new dining venues (Giovanni's Table, Izumi, Park Cafe, Chops Grille and the Chef's Table), the Royal Babies and Tots Nursery, Wi-Fi throughout the ship, and a big-screen TV on the pool deck.

Itinerary

Summary for 2014

Grandeur of the Seas will cruise out of Baltimore, Maryland and offer 6-night Bermuda cruises,  7-night Bahamas cruises, and 10-night Caribbean cruises.

In the fall, select sailings will be for 7-night Canada & New England cruises.

Royal Babies & Royal Tots

Interactive classes filled with enriching activities developed by early childhood experts at Fisher-Price® for kids 6-18 months. The Royal Tots Program offers 45-minute interactive playground sessions filled with age-appropriate activities and toys for kids ages 18-36 months. Both programs are hosted by trained youth staff. A parent or caregiver must accompany child during all activity sessions. Nursery program also available.

Adventure Ocean for Kids Ages 3-11

Aquanauts for kids ages 3-5 years old; Explorers for kids ages 6-8 years old; Voyagers for kids ages 9-11 years old. Royal Caribbean offers age appropriate parties, crafts, scavenger hunts, science experiments, theater games, excursions and more. Located on deck 10.

Teen Program

Non-structured, participate when you want program for teens, ages 12-17 years old. Featuring Theme Nights, Improve Games, DJ Academy, Mocktail Competition, Dodgeball, Open Mic and Talent Show, BBQ, Movie and Pool Party, Teen Casino, Snowball Fight, Climbing Competition and more.
