RCCL Will Add Dynamic Dining to Oasis Class Ships

Royal Caribbean has recreated the original Oasis-class three-story main dining room into three distinct complimentary venues. Guests will enjoy menus of the new concepts beginning March 14, 2015. Guests sailing Oasis of the Seas prior to March 14, will enjoy the traditional dining room experience in the newly designed spaces. The Allure of the Seas is scheduled for refurbishment in May 2015.

Royal Caribbean International announced today that a mechanical issue has made it necessary to perform unscheduled repairs to Allure of the Seas. The repairs will take place at Grand Bahama Shipyard, in Freeport, Bahamas, the week of February 24, 2014. Small Engine Room Fire

Nervous passengers aboard the Allure of the Seas reported seeing black smoke from the stacks as the ship sailed yesterday to Port Everglades from St. Maarten. The incident was reported today on the Allure of the Seas Blog:

Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship, reported a “fire of short duration in the engine room,” a spokeswoman said the ship was sailing from St. Maarten to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale when an engine fire broke out at 7:45 pm on Friday, said spokeswoman Cynthia Martinez. “The ship’s high fog system was immediately activated, which contained and extinguished the fire.” No passengers or crew members were injured and the ship sailed to Port Everglades without any assistance. The cruise scheduled to return on Sunday.

Man overboard on Allure of the Seas

According to major news reports, a British passenger was seen falling over the railing of his stateroom today as the ship was sailing to Cozumel, Mexico. Security footage confirmed the man falling. The Mexican Coast Guard along with the Allure of the Seas and a pilot boat are assisting in the search for the passenger.

Kids Only

Royal Babies & Royal Tots

Interactive classes filled with enriching activities developed by early childhood experts at Fisher-Price® for kids 6-18 months. The Royal Tots Program offers 45-minute interactive playground sessions filled with age-appropriate activities and toys for kids ages 18-36 months. Both programs are hosted by trained youth staff. A parent or caregiver must accompany child during all activity sessions. Nursery program also available.

Adventure Ocean for Kids Ages 3-11

Aquanauts for kids ages 3-5 years old; Explorers for kids ages 6-8 years old; Voyagers for kids ages 9-11 years old. Royal Caribbean offers age appropriate parties, crafts, scavenger hunts, science experiments, theater games, excursions and more.

Teen Program

Non-structured, participate when you want program for teens, ages 12-17 years old. Featuring Theme Nights, Improve Games, DJ Academy, Mocktail Competition, Dodgeball, Open Mic and Talent Show, BBQ, Movie and Pool Party, Teen Casino, Snowball Fight, Climbing Competition and more. Family Interior rooms are equipped with sofa or Pullman beds to accommodate up to six guests.

Two twin beds that convert to a Royal King, measuring 72.5 inches wide by 82 inches long, sitting area, vanity area, and a private bathroom. The family ocean view has additional bunk beds in separate area, separate sitting area with sofa bed, and can accommodate up to 6 guests. Central Park Staterooms are steps away from onboard shopping while Boardwalk staterooms overlook the bustling boardwalk. Family ocean view staterooms accommodate up to six guests.

Balcony

Two twin beds that convert to a Royal King, measuring 72.5 inches wide by 82 inches long, private balcony, sitting area and a private bathroom.  Both categories, Deluxe and Superior, have a small sitting area and private balcony. Guests can choose to have an ocean view, Board Walk, or Central Park neighborhood balcony. Family staterooms accommodate up to six guests.

Royal family suites have two bedrooms with two twin beds that convert to a Royal King, measuring 72.5 inches wide by 82 inches long(one room with third and fourth Pullman beds), two bathrooms (one with shower, one with bathtub), living area with double sofa bed, private balcony, concierge service. The stateroom can accommodate up to 8 guests. The Royal Suite has a separate bedroom with king-size bed, private balcony with hot tub, whirlpool bathtub, living room with queen-size sofa bed, baby grand piano and concierge service. The two-bedroom suite has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Aquatheater Suites overlook the water entertainment theater and can accommodate up to eight guests. Three-level main dining room caters to guests' varying preferences - American Icon Grill (deck 3) The Grande (deck 4) and Silk (deck 5). The newly introduced My Time Dining and My Family Time Dining, as well as the traditional main and late seating options are offered. Guests choosing My Time Dining will not have a pre-assigned table, but will be seated in the ships main dining room and will order from the same traditional dinner menu. My Time Dining guests can make daily reservations for specific seating times or choose to walk in. My Family Time Dining accommodates parents and children by offering an expedited 40-minute dining service for young cruisers, ages 3-11. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Vitality Café

Located at the entrance of the Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, the Vitality Café features healthy snacks, sandwiches, wraps and fruit, in addition to refreshing juices and smoothies from the Vitality spa menu for the calorie conscious guest. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

150 Central Park ($)

The most exclusive dining venue on Oasis of the Seas, 150 Central Park provides an intimate dining experience that combines leading-edge cuisine with modern design, creating a trendy upscale ambiance. Signature features include a tasting menu with customized wine pairings. Open for dinner; $35 cover charge.

Giovanni's Table ($)

This Tuscan countryside influenced trattoria is a more-accessible, casual Italian restaurant featuring both indoor and al fresco seating. Giovanni's Table offers rustic dishes with a contemporary flair, including toasted herbal breads, pizzas, salads, pastas, Italian sandwiches, braised meat dishes and stews, all served family-style. Open for lunch and dinner; $10 lunch and $15 dinner cover charge.

Solarium Bistro ($)

Located in the Solarium the contemporary bistro offers health-conscious dining for breakfast and lunch in a casual setting. In the evenings, Solarium Bistro will transform into a romantic and intimate dining setting for specialty healthy-fare dinner and dancing under the stars. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner; dinner has a $20 cover charge.  

Samba Brazilian Steakhouse ($)

The dining experience begins at self-serve salad bar, filled with a delectable selection of appetizers, soups and salads. Main course features various cuts of rotisserie-roasted meat carved tableside.
Traditional Brazilian desserts are served à la cart and are included in the cover charge. Located in the Solarium Bistro. $25.00 surcharge. Prices subject to change.

Izumi  ($)

Asian cuisine restaurant features a sushi bar and hot rock cooking, as well as other Asian fare in a more formal setting. Open for lunch and dinner; á la carte pricing. New - Izumi was updated during the May 2015 drydock now offering a full teppanyaki menu, as well as fresh and flavorful sushi rolls and sashimi.

Chops Grille ($)

Johnny Rockets ($)

Get the family together for good old-fashioned hamburgers and fries at Johnny Rockets—complete with authentic 1950s décor, a menu filled with all-American favorites and a jukebox at every table. Lunch and dinner have a $4.95 surcharge per person. Prices subject to change.

Sorrento's Pizzeria

Grab a specialty pie for the whole family, a Cheese & Pepperoni slice for the road, or choose from many Italian favorites from Sorrento's menu. There's something for everyone.

Guests wanting to enjoy a meal in the comfort of their staterooms can choose from the complimentary breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, as well as the recently introduced Dine in Delights menu, which offers name-brand culinary options ranging from the Original Johnny Rockets hamburger to Ghirardelli Chocolate Cookies. Suspended above the Globe and Atlas Pub, an unfurling bridge on hinged hydraulics creates a spectacular, surprise element for guests. Incorporated into the pub’s facade, a giant copper globe will “crack open” as part of its unique construction and extend over the Royal Promenade as a bridge platform.

Studio B

The unique onboard ice skating rink and the venue for a variety of themed events.

Casino Royale

The largest and most sophisticated casino at sea. Casino Royale features 450 slot machines; extensive table games including Blackjack, roulette, craps, and Caribbean Stud Poker; and a bar and lounge area from which to take in the casino action. Dazzles

Spectacular venue - spanning two decks - with an expansive floor-to-ceiling windows offering breathtaking views of the Boardwalk below. The dance lounge offers a variety of musical experiences ranging from 1940’s big band to disco to ballroom evenings.
