Clothing Optional Beaches

A nude beach is a beach where users are legally at liberty to be nude. Nude beaches are relatively few and usually located off the beaten track - access can be difficult and few facilities are available.  The terms "clothing-optional" beach or "free" beach are sometimes used.  Nude beaches may be official (legally sanctioned), unofficial (tolerated by residents and law enforcement), or illegal.

Please make sure to confirm with local authorities about clothing options before you disrobe.

Anguilla

Captain's Bay is a secluded spot with a white sandy beach, very private. It's a bit of trouble to get to on the road, but a car will make it. It's secluded and very lovely.

Antigua

Hawksbill Beach Resort has several beaches for guests, one of which is clothing optional. This resort sits on an isolated peninsula and has a lot of European guests.

Bonaire

Sorobon Resort is a naturist resort on Bonaire. If you're not staying at the resort, inquire about paying a fee for beach use.

Brazil

Praia do Pinho in Santa Catarina.

California

Black's Beach in San Diego.

Baker Beach (north end) San Francisco.

Dominican Republic

Eden Bay is "the" naturist resort in the Dominican Republic.

Florida

South Beach Haulover Park is a popular clothing-optional beach in Miami. A section of the beach has been officially designated by Miami-Dade County, with lifeguards and concessions. On such beaches, there may be a mixture of nude, clothed and everything in between.

France

Paradise Beach on Mykonos.

Anse Traubaud is a pretty beach with many palm trees. It's topless as a general rule - be sure to check locally before going nude.

All-inclusive resort located near Ocho Rios offers two separate beaches - one is the nude beach.

Anse des Grandes Salines (Saline Beach) is one of several nude/topless beaches on St. Barts. Inquire locally for the most convenient places and current information.
