Venice is a great place to stay for a relaxing vacation near the Gulf

The area offers a good mix of affordable and conveniently located local and national chain hotels, motels, inns and bed and breakfast accommodations. 

Condo and villa rentals offering beach-side views are located on Tarpon Center Dr. between Golden Beach and the South Jetty. Beach-side motels are located to the north of Venice on Casey Key in Nokomis (access from W. Venice Island

Venice Island lodgings are convenient to beaches, restaurants and shopping on West Venice Avenue.  These are generally older properties, many with “Old Florida” charm. There are no hotels/motels located directly on the beach in Venice, but there are several located directly on Nokomis Beach (see Nokomis listings below).
