Smoking Policy
Disney Cruise Ships have been primarily designated as non-smoking ships. Designated smoking areas include many of the lounges, portions of open-air decks and private verandahs.
Disney Cruise Line requests that all Guests observe the non-smoking areas and refrain from smoking pipes and/or cigars in any of the public areas.
History
Since its launch in 1998, Disney Cruise Line has established itself as a leader in the cruise industry, providing a setting where families can reconnect, adults can recharge and kids can immerse themselves in worlds of fantasy only Disney can create. Today, Disney Cruise Line continues to expand its blueprint for family cruising. Its classic ships – the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder – are now joined by a new class of ships constructed by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany.
The Disney Dream sailed its maiden voyage in 2011, and the Disney Fantasy sails its maiden voyage in 2012. Guests can sail out of ports around the world on exciting itineraries to the Caribbean, Bahamas, Hawaii, Alaska and the Mexican Riviera, among others. Disney Cruise Line’s homeport remains Port Canaveral, Florida, where it has a specially designed cruise terminal dedicated to Disney Cruise Lines.
Disney Cruise Line strives to make a positive impact in the many places around the world it calls home. The Cast and Crew of Disney Cruise Line support numerous charitable organizations that nurture the lives of children and enrich the environment. Crew Members lead reading education programs in schools, give to local animal shelters and bring Disney characters to entertain children in port communities around the globe. Volunteers also donate their time to paint murals for hospitals and care facilities, raise funds for worldwide disaster relief efforts, and host annual shore cleanups to remove trash and debris from fragile coastlines. In 2010, Cast and Crew Members donated more than 4,500 hours of their personal time to benefit worthwhile causes across 31 different port communities.
