CDC Sanitation Ratings

Sanitation Report - No reports available

The Center For Disease Control (CDC) performs unannounced inspections, which are conducted twice a year and required for any cruise ship with an international itinerary calling at a U.S. port. Vessels are evaluated proper food handling, preparation and storage procedures, and overall galley cleanliness. Ships’ potable water supplies used in spas and pools are evaluated, as well.

Costa neo-Romantica

The Costa Romantica is one of the most comfortable and elegant ships in the Costa fleet.

The extensive makeover of the Costa Romatica in 2011 included the creation of new shipboard areas and the introduction of services that represent a major evolution in the Costa product.

The renovation includes adding two half-deck extensions, 111 new standard cabins, and 120 cabins and suites with private balconies.

Among new areas added is a wine and cheese bar offering 100 vintner labels and a selection of cheeses from around the world, a coffee and chocolate bar, an Italian pizzeria, a cabaret lounge and a nightclub.

Costa neoRomantica also has Costa’s branded Samsara Spa — a 45,200-square-foot (4,200 square meters) wellness facility with a gym, thalassotherapy pool, treatment rooms, sauna, Turkish bath, 50 spa cabins and six spa suites as well as a dedicated spa restaurant.
