The Center For Disease Control (CDC) performs unannounced inspections, which are conducted twice a year and required for any cruise ship with an international itinerary calling at a U.S. port. Vessels are evaluated proper food handling, preparation and storage procedures, and overall galley cleanliness. Ships’ potable water supplies used in spas and pools are evaluated, as well.

The Costa neoRiviera is an intimate vessel that can take passengers into rarely visited exotic ports. Enjoy longer stays in ports of call to soak up the culture and flavor of the destination. Costa neoRiviera is inspired by the charm and atmosphere of the Italian Riviera, the Cote d'Azur and the Amalfi Coast.

The neoRiviera began her service as the MS Mistral under Festival Cruises. She was purchased and christened Grand Mistral by Ibero Cruises in 2004 and transferred to Costa Cruises in 2013.
