The Center For Disease Control (CDC) performs unannounced inspections, which are conducted twice a year and required for any cruise ship with an international itinerary calling at a U.S. port. Vessels are evaluated proper food handling, preparation and storage procedures, and overall galley cleanliness. Ships’ potable water supplies used in spas and pools are evaluated, as well. MSC Divina
MSC Divina, named in honor of screen legend and MSC Cruises “godmother” Sophia Loren, was christened in Marseille in May 2012. Special features, like the Sophia Loren suite and the library, were designed with the glamorous screen icon in mind. The Divina is modeled from her sister-ships, MSC Splendida and MSC Fantasia, with some remarkable enhancements.
The Infinity Pool in the aft of the ship, with its “beach zone” adjoining the glass balustrade, offers a unique view of the ship’s wake fading into the sunset. And if you’re travelling in the expanded MSC Yacht Club, you can relax in style in the panoramic Top Sail Lounge.
