MS Nautica

MS Nautica was built by Renaissance cruises as an R class cruise ship. She was built in 2000 by the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in St. Nazaire, France for Renaissance Cruises as MS R Five. Between 2002 and 2004 she sailed for Pullmantur Cruises before entering service with her current owners in 2005.

On 30 November 2008 while sailing on the Gulf of Aden the Nautica came under attack by Somalian pirates, but was able to escape without any injuries to passenger or crew.

Accommodations

All Oceania staterooms come with 110/220 volt outlets, a hair dryer, cotton robes and slippers, complimentary 24-hour room service, wireless internet access, and security safe.

Inside

Located on decks 4, 6, 7 and 8 with 160 sq. ft of space. Stateroom measurements are approximate, and staterooms in the same category may vary in size.

Outside.

Rangin from 143-165 square feet, ocean view staterooms are located on decks 4, 6 and 7.  Features include queen or two twin bed accommodations, spacious seating area, vanity desk and breakfast table.

Veranda

216 sq. ft staterooms are located throughout deck 6. The rooms have a private teak veranda, sofa, vanity desk, breakfast table and choice of queen or two twin bed accommodations.

Concierge & Suite Amenities

Concierge & Suite Guests have priority check-in, a welcome bottle of champagne, unlimited access to the private Spa Terrace, exclusive discounts on internet packages, priority reservations to restaurants and shore excursions, and complimentary iPad on board. Guests get exclusive access to the private SpaTerrace, a Bulgari gift set, and complimentary Oceania tote bag.

Concierge Level Staterooms (A1, A2 and A3) in preferred locations on deck 7 at 216 sq. ft. Private teak veranda, flat-screen television, plush seating area and spacious closet.

Penthouse Suite

Located exclusively on deck 8  with 322 sq. ft. of space. Penthouse Suites features queen-sized Tranquility Bed which may be converted into two twins, living area, private in-suite dining, refrigerated mini bar, vanity desk, and a bath with a tub, Teak veranda.

1000+ sq. ft. Located in premier corner locations on decks 6, 7 and 8. Jacuzzi, 42” plasma flat-screen TV with Bose® surround sound system, 2nd flat-screen TV, DVDs and CDs Entertainment Center, laptop computer provided, refrigerated mini bar, queen-sized Tranquility Bed, numerous floor-to-ceiling glass doors, wraparound teak veranda furnished with resort-quality outdoor lounge furniture. Second bathroom for guests.

Dining Venues

The Grand Dining Room

Featuring Continental Cuisine on Deck 5. Menus change daily, with a brilliant selection of sumptuous dishes for breakfast and lunch, punctuated by at least six appetizers and nine entrées at dinner.

Toscana

Gourmet Italian on Deck 10. Relish antipasti like Carpaccio of Beef Topped with Aged Reggiano Parmigiano or Sautéed Jumbo Scampi Tenderly Wrapped in Proscuitto San Daniele.

Polo Grill

Steakhouse located on deck 10. All of the beef dishes are USDA Prime and dry-aged for at least 28 days. Other classics include Surf and Turf, featuring a grilled Florida Lobster Tail and tender Filet Mignon, and whole Maine Lobster Gratinée.

Waves

This relaxed, open-air bistro serves gourmet burgers, swordfish, chicken and other grilled items, and features a salad bar and homemade ice cream bar. Open for lunch, weather permitting.

Terrace Café

Feel free to dine inside or alfresco at one of the shaded teak tables on the terrace. An international menu changes daily. In the evenings, comtemporary dishes with a Mediterranean flair.
